Adelaide Marathon Warriors and Legends

For many years the Adelaide marathon has had awards for completing 10 and 25 marathons. In 2011, we started to label these achievements as Warriors (10 or more) and Legends (25 or more) and provided bib numbers to entrants with their Warror or Legend number. This enables spectators to recognise that these runners have supported the event for many years and then give them support to create even more records!

The issued number is consecutive and refects the order of those who achieved these goals. Thus W01 and L01 were in the first group to achieve these milestones. There are 9 Legends (up to and including 2012) but only a few still compete, most notably Peter (L03), Sue Worley (L06), Ian Hill (L07), and Lester Smith (L08). Doug Kewley qualified in 2012.
